As a groomer, Samantha Palya started her grooming career in 1996 at Great Lakes Academy of Professional Pet Styling. In 1996, she competed in the All American Grooming Show, where she earned well deserved placements in grooming and hand stripping. She was awarded Best Groomer and Best Groomed Dog for a beautiful hand-stripped terrier at the Groom Expo that took place in 1998. Samantha is also the proud owner of Absolutely Pawfect Pet Styling, Inc. and The Enrichment Stylist Pet Business of Consulting and Education. Currently, Samantha works with apprentices, helping to provide opportunities for future pet care professionals. She holds multiple certifications including but not limited to: Pet Tech Instructor, Skin and Hair, Salon Sanitation, Canine Body Language, Dog Gurus College, Pricing for profits, Communications Skills Leader, Heroes for Healthy Pets, and Salon Sanitation just to name a few. This year, Samantha is excited to introduce Enrichment Grooming, to the pet care industry as a speaker and educator.
During her 34 years in the grooming industry, Anjie spent as much of it learning about every aspect of not only grooming but about business. She knew she had to share the knowledge she had gained and began teaching grooming, and business so others could learn the secrets of her success. This has also led her to teach Pet Tech First Aid & CPR classes for pet professionals and pet owners alike. Her passion for continuing education shows through in her achieving CMRG (Certified Master Rabbit Groomer) as well as CCE, ACG, and PGC. This brand ambassador for All For Groomers is currently publishing the first rabbit grooming book in the industry.
Chris Anthony, weary from her travails in retail management and office work, found her calling when she discovered pet grooming. Her near 20-year journey in this career has led her through many opportunities, experiences, and life lessons. After grooming and managing in both small and corporate salons and starting her own successful house call grooming business in New Jersey, she educated herself on the varying aspects of her career. She has always sought out innovations in pet care, education, grooming techniques, tools, and products. Now her passion for grooming and education has added more in depth knowledge on scissors, scissoring techniques, ergonomics, and self care to help preserve her own health and longevity in her chosen profession. She is the owner/groomer at Have Shears Will Travel and is the customer service/sales VP at Evolution Shears. Chris is also honored to have co-founded the New Jersey Professional Pet Groomers Alliance and serves as its current Chairwoman.
Kat Early NCMG started grooming in 2014 after working as a bather while completing her Hon. BSc in psychology. She always planned on going to veterinary college, but quickly fell in love with grooming and never looked backed. Shortly after finishing training for groomer, Kat opened her first salon in her hometown in Southampton Ontario. She successfully operated her salon for almost 5 years before moving to Florida to marry her now husband, Ben.
After living in Florida working in various salons she opened a new salon, True North Grooming as a nod to her home. Her salon is widely recognized in Tallahassee for top quality and care.
She now lives with 7 dogs and a cat, showing her American cockers and miniature poodle. She found her heart in American cockers, and hopes to eventually breed them.
Kat is an international award winning competitor, with placements in all classes. She competes on the Whitmans pro team and strives to push for perfection.
Meg Ioffredo has been a pet professional since 2012, beginning as a bather at a corporate salon. Since then, they have taken every continuing education opportunity available to them and proudly have numerous titles under their belt: certified Pet Tech instructor, certified feline master groomer, rabbit groomer, certified canine esthetician, fear free certified, and more! Now, they turn their gaze on being an educator to give back to their grooming community, with a focus on cat and rabbit grooming. They also run Elevation Media Management, a small business that can do everything from managing social media posting to graphic design.
Markie James is a NC native, member of Foxy Roxy Pro Team, member of the NDGAA, and graduate of the CVCC Advertising and Graphic Design Program where she has done graphic design work for several major companies. She has been grooming for over 15 years and owns Bark Side Pet Grooming which has won numerous local awards for excellence and quality. Markie has competed in various grooming competitions where she has won multiple awards. Recently, she had an article published in Groomer to Groomer Magazine on branding your business and teaching seminars at various trade shows.
Kate Klasen is the owner/founder of the holistic grooming salon Balanced Paws in AZ.
Kate started her grooming career inside a vet office before branching out on her own.
She is Fear Free certified, a Reiki master, crystal healer and certified canine esthetician. Kate is also certified through Science Dog on canine nutrition and teaches classes on pet foods.
Outside of the grooming salon, Kate brought her passions together when she formed H.E.L.P where she brings in her past experience as a first responder and teaches emergency preparedness skills for people and pets, including Pet Tech CPR/First Aid.
During her tenure with the Police Department, Kate has been a certified EMT, 9-1-1 dispatcher and police officer. Kate had been responsible as a field training officer for dispatchers, and had taught at the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy (SLEA) where she taught first responders CPR/First Aid. Kate also was responsible for teaching defensive tactic topics at her department, and assisted other departments with their training.
Kate, since leaving law enforcement, has continued her passion for teaching and serving by providing the lessons learned over decades of training and experience to clients of all backgrounds. She believes wholeheartedly in collaborative learning and hopes to see you in the classroom
H.E.L.P offers human & animal CPR/First Aid and is an official training center for the Health Safety Institute. H.E.L.P also offers Emergency Preparedness consults & training. Kate is a certified instructor through Health Safety Institute, American Heart Association, AVERT, and Pet Tech

Christein is a career pet stylist and dog person of over 37 years. Currently she is the owner and operator of Finer DeTails Pet Spa, Sweetgrass Wellness Center, and Special Kneads Canine Massage in Mazomanie, WI. In winter of 2021, Christein opened Sage Pet Grooming Academy in Mazomanie, WI. Christein is an award winning competition groomer, retired competition judge with both IJA and USA panels, has multiple national grooming certifications from the NDGAA, IPG, and is a Certified Canine Esthetician specializing in canine skin & coat care and nutrition. She is the author of 6 industry guidebooks and multiple continuing educational courses. She has created her own line of all natural canine skin & coat therapy products, Good Kharma- Canine Spa Therapies, and a newly formed aromatherapy business specifically for groomers & their pets, Groom Therapy.
